The medicines we make at Centocor are biologics. We literally grow them. Derived from living proteins, they have unique properties that make them effective medicines. When a pharmaceutical company makes a pill, they press them using a fairly straightforward process accomplished within minutes. It takes nine months for us to make one vial of our current medicine. Little different.
